Last week I shared how important it is to always keep learning and how that realization came to me as a brand new parent caring for our tiny little girl. With information at our fingertips there is no reason we can’t seek out the information we need to make knowledgeable decisions for ourselves and our families.
We are all capable of learning, right?
On that same token it can be completely overwhelming to go to Dr. Google and start looking for information if we aren’t sure where we are heading. I want to help you with that.
Here are 3 resources that I have used and believe are a great place to start on your journey to knowledge and understanding for your childbearing years…….
1) Supernatural Childbirth, By: Jackie Mize - As a believer, I truly believe that our thoughts, words, and prayers are very powerful. Your mindset is everything! What we believe will impact our truth and so many women think that childbirth “has to be” a painful event, cringing at the thought of what is to come. I myself have proved that wrong by having three completely natural births, two being what I would consider pain-free. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13
Supernatural Childbirth is a practical and realistic look at God’s promises for conception, pregnancy, and delivery. This is not “pie in the sky” --- this is a personal testimony of how one couple overcame defeat and triumphed in God’s plan!
2) The Business of Being Born - Documentary - This documentary was eye-opening for me even being aware of the issues we are faced with in our over involved medical care through pregnancy. I recommend anyone having children in today's culture to watch this video.
The Business of Being Born explores the history of obstetrics, the history and function of midwives, and how many common medical practices may be doing new mothers more harm than good.
This was actually the first book I read that opened my eyes to how broken our medical system is and if the last almost two years hasn’t made you start to wonder then this book will.
This vaccination book is meticulously documented with over 300 references and does not represent special interests. It's all there: the ingredients in vaccines, the dangers of vaccines, vaccine side effects, autism and vaccines, HPV vaccine, vaccine cover-ups, and more.
The book is written in easy-to-understand language as well, not the med-speak found in medical journals. It covers the important vaccine events of the past year, which have been kept out of most media.
It is not an anti-vaccine textbook. It is in favor of any vaccines that have proven to be 100% safe, effective, and necessary when tested by independent, third-party research that is wholly unconnected with vaccine manufacturers.
I hope you find these resources helpful and beneficial to you on your journey, as my deepest desire is to see you empowered and advocating for what you believe is best for you and your family.
