Are they taking your power? - One of the things that keeps coming up in conversations that I find extremely disturbing is how our medical system is dictating our care and how they are training their labor and delivery teams on how to handle having a doula attending and assisting their patients in the birth of their baby........ 

Can I Have a Homebirth? - If you have been thinking about having a homebirth and are wondering if it is something that you can do, I want to encourage you...... You were made to do this one thing without a doubt!!! You can have a homebirth when you believe in yourself, your baby, and your body. 

Do you believe in yourself? -  God gave me a supernatural belief in my ability to birth our child naturally.....I have a FIRM belief in the ability of all women to be able to do this........Can we tell our body to get pregnant?.......We have little control over when we will get pregnant, how that pregnancy will go, or what our baby will look like in the end......I believe that this is true for anything you are drawn to learn or do in life!  

Homebirth after C-Section - It is POSSIBLE!!! - So he agreed to having the homebirth I wanted..... I NEVER doubted myself, my body, or my baby in being able to do this thing!!!!!.....GOD gave me a Supernatural Belief in what HE had created my body to do......I missed my OB appt for my 39 week check up.....Back Labor is hard!!!......I wish I knew some of the things that I know now to deal with that.....

Taking Charge Through Pregnancy - Being pregnant again was such a blessing and looking back it still amazes me that it was soooo easy. After trying for so long for our first and having to get fertility help, getting pregnant right away when trying again and then losing that baby…….So there I was realizing that I didn’t want to take my chances with this medical group and have someone I didn’t trust involved in my care in any way.....This time around I didn’t let the doctor dictate to me how or what I would be doing......

Trying Again After Miscarriage…..- If you have ever suffered through the loss of a pregnancy you know the mental battle that comes along after that loss.......I also came to realize how different the experience was from my first miscarriage....... I barely had time to process because we had a toddler who needed me........I had, however, started supporting my progesterone balance..........  

Deciding to try again and what that looked like for us - A little over a year after our daughter was born we decided that we wanted to have another baby.........Since we were unable to conceive on our own the first time, we weren’t sure what trying again would look like. We hoped for the best of course but again, would it work or would it be a challenge again?.......there wasn’t a fetal pole and had to get some bloodwork done to determine if I was in the process of miscarrying...........

I didn’t know what I didn’t know! - But I do know now! Have you ever been at a point in your life where you follow ALL the things, don’t question the ‘experts’, and just go with the direction others are TELLING you is the best way?That is what I did with my first pregnancy and by the end.............

The Realization…..- Holding my newborn baby and staring at her for hours on end was my favorite thing to do in those first days.......In those first days of having her home and figuring out what our new life looked like, we had plenty of time to just sit and think. .......One day as I was standing there looking down at her beautiful sleeping face in my arms I had a shocking realization that rocked me to my core. ......
